Role: Overseeing operations and recruiting, Dan is also involved in nearly every decision on strategy and marketing.

Helping hand: Dan has led hiring initiatives for several portfolio companies, reading countless resumes (seriously … he stopped counting) and interviewing hundreds of candidates. He also helps develop strategies and on occasion even serves as an interim executive to allow founders to focus on what matters most.

Background: Software, publishing and communications. Dan also owns Austin’s largest art gallery, home to one of the world’s most extensive collections of “The Secret Art of Dr. Seuss,” works produced primarily for adults by the famed artist.
