Corporis Medical develops smart tools that make surgeries safer and more effective. The company’s flagship product — Laprixa — is the world’s smallest tissue blood pressure device, providing surgeons with an objective assessment of bowel tissue’s healing capacity during surgery. Laprixa helps them make better-informed decisions, potentially preventing complications.
Corporis Medical also developed Mediclose, a sterile disposable device for suturing trocar-induced wounds after laparoscopic surgery. Mediclose is unique in that it automatically closes incisions from inside out so there are no exposed needles or any anchors left behind. That reduces the risk of trocar-site incisional hernias and other complications related to laparoscopic procedures.
